I have the distinct pleasure of spending Valentine's day at school this year. I have a Saturday morning class & will be studying some yucky disease.

Hopefully hubby & I can do something that evening.

I usually spend my St. Valentine's day with my husband and my dog Tony. My husband and I go aout to dinner at IHOP to "celebrate" the day we met (which was St. Valentine's day). The day we met we wento to an IHOP for coffee. That was almost 19 years ago. What better way to celebrate than to "re-enact" our first coffee together. After that we go home and give our pooch a special treat.

May Canadians enter? I plan on spending Valentines Day as a quiet day at home (although if the weather is right we might go skiing).

Luckily, Valentine's Day falls on a weekend this year. Since this is also my birthday month, we're planning an overnight trip to the casino with hotel stay. Normally it's just dinner and a movie, but I convinced hubby to unleash the purse strings and splurge a bit this year. I'm pretty sure we won't come home winners (we've never won once) but we'll have a great time anyway.

We plan to have a quiet night in and maybe rent a movie. It costs too much to go out and eat and pay a babysitter!

My nights are not so quiet since I have a toddler. lol I plan on spending it with my family. The girls and I usually hang out and watch a romantic movie unless NCIS or Eleventh Hour is on TV. We eat a snack together. Who knows maybe this year we will go out to Aqua Linda's as a family. Depends on if my dh is out of town or not for work. Thank. I know... blah blah blah...

Every year we celebrate with 6 other couples for a Valentine's Day dinner. Usually my husband and I spend a nice quiet evening at home with a special dinner and we do the friends dinner thing on an alternate night. It so happens that V-Day is on a Saturday this year, so we have planned a dinner at a nice restaurant and have a room for our group all to ourselves! I have posted on my blog about this and my email is Linspj@aol.com

I will spend V-day with my hubby :) He is my best friend (how great is that?? It is really hard to "plan" anything out due to my illness but I will be happy to just spend time with him.

My husband and I aren't celebrating this year. We have had an awful year financially ( who hasn't, though?..) so we're just not doing presents for any holidays this year. I have a family, which is what I wanted most anyway. I'm sure the novelty of that will wear off eventually, but for right now, I'm completely satisified! lol. I would love to share these goodies with some single gal friends of mine who have had a really tough year.

We'll put our girls to bed and have a nice dinner with a glass of wine (& hopefully something with chocolate). Our girls are little, so this is the best option for us--simple, affordable & something special.

This year my hubby and I are going out the week before Valentine's day. The kids are going to Grandma's for the weekend and on Saturday I'm going to a friend's house where we are all making sweets and doing an exchange. That night my hubby and I are going to go to dinner and come home and have our sweets together.

My daughter's birthday is on that Friday so Saturday we will have a party for here and later either rent a movie or go to a family movie. Not the most romantic but I wouldn't have it any other way. I like to spent my heart day with ALL the people who share my heart and Love.

I'll make a nice dinner for the family, decorate the table, buy small gifts for everyone and make a special dessert. After dinner, my teen daughters will probably go out, and my husband, who is in a band will have to leave to play a gig. It didn't hit me until just now, but I guess I'll be home alone on Valentine's night. Maybe I'll get a movie and enjoy the quiet. Thanks for a nice giveaway!

Julie said...

Great giveaway...we'll probably just keep it quite. It's too crazy to try to go out. Probably fix something at home.

Your Valentine Giveaway sounds fantastic. I think the sock gram is very fun and unqiue. My wife would especially love them because her feet are always so cold. As for Valentine's Day, www.thegenderdefenders.com are in town and I'm trying to score some affordable tickets to surprise my wife. We love to spend time together and laugh. My anniversary is 2/12, and my Anniversary gift for my hubby is 2 tickets to a NHL Hockey game on 2/14/09, so I plan to take let him sleep in, then him out for a steak dinner, then spend Valentines evening at a hockey game LOVING all the cross-checks and screaming for our team to win until we have no voices left. Sunday is his day to spoil me, and I have no idea what he has planned.

I start the day with making heart shaped pancakes for the family. Then I am off to the schools to help out with their Valentine's Day party. Then I make dinner and watch a movie together. With our financial funds being low no way to go out for dinner but we are together and share the day with love

If I could get rid of my kids I will be doing a Gourmet Delight, which is from Intimate Issues.
It is a romantic dinner throughout the house, each part of the meal is in a different room and comes with "rules" of what touching is allowed at that part of the meal, lol.
If not, we'll be watching movies with the kids.
