Easy Stromboli Recipe
This is a great recipe that's quick to assemble and takes only 20-25 minutes to bake. This is one of Haley's favorite recipes. Now you can add any pizza toppings to make it a family favorite in your house.
Stromboli - serves 4
1 refrigerated pizza crust
1 lb. lean ground beef or pork sausage
1 C. shredded cheese blend (mozz. or cheddar)
1 can prepared pizza sauce
Pizza toppings: onion, ham, green pepper, mushroom, olives
Italian dressing
Parmesan cheese
Brown meat and drain. Roll out pizza crust. Spread 2-3 tbsp. of pizza sauce on crust. Layer with toppings and cheese. Roll dough over and seal the ends. Brush the outside with Italian dressing and sprinkle Parmesan cheese. Bake @ 425 degrees for 15-25 minutes (bake time will vary depending on the amount of toppings).

Chores - Every child should have some!
OK, don't freak out.....we don't really make, or even allow Haley to mow the lawn but she thought it was pretty cool. We let her drive around the yard last week and thought to ourselves how wonderful it will be when she really IS old enough to cut the grass.
I think it's important for every child to help with chores around the house. These are things they'll need to know how to do when they get older and every family member should do their part.
If you don't know how to cook, it's probably because no one ever taught you. Having your kids help you around the house is also a great way to spend quality time with them and they'll love it.....well, most of the time!
Our favorite thing is cooking, baking, and gardening!

Grandparents Day!
Grandparents are a true blessing! I look forward to the day when I become a grandparent! I'm not in any hurry but I do think it will be wonderful!
My grandparents have been very influential in my life and have touched so many other lives! My grandfather was a business man and leader in his church. He was very giving and loved helping others. My grandmother is a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always put her family first and has touched so many hearts throughout the years! They lived a modest lifestyle while giving to anyone who had needs. My grandmother taught me the joys of volunteering at a young age when we would go to low income apartments to deliver devotions to the residents. I always loved doing that!
Today I would like to celebrate grandparents as well as my grandmother's return home from the nursing home. She had a severe stroke a few months ago. She was at home taking care of my grandfather who has suffered from Alzheimer's for over 10 years. Every family member has been helping out with my grandfather and anticipating my grandmother's return home where she wants to be. She wants to be with her husband. Although she will no longer be able to take care of her husband, they will be together and I know that's where she wants to be.
I am so blessed to have them as my grandparents and as role models! Thank God for grandparents!
Don't forget to celebrate your grandparents and your children's grandparents today!
