I'm 21 years old and just recently moved out of my moms house. There have been a lot of rapings and home invasions even in the nicer part of towns. I hate answering the door because I'm scared of who may be there. This would put my mind at ease and my moms!

This is an amazing give-a-way! I would lovvve to be able to get this!

Katie said...

I would love this give-a-way for the simple fact my Husband works second shift leaving me at home by myself during the evening and early night hours. I know how easy it is to gain access to our home, because I have had to "break in" before.

I live in the country where it is difficult to get police help in less than 30 minutes. This would help scare off intruders which would save my heart some stress. (only part of it works)

My husband works for corrections and he works with the worst offenders. They still get released.

This would give me peace of mind because my husband works late so I'm usually home with the kids by myself until 9 p.m. or later. We live in the country so it does get kind of spooky sometimes and of course, I have a really active imagination from watching too much TV so it doesn't take much to freak me out.

lfhpueblo said...

We live on a corner lot, and people often pull up along side of our garage where we can't see who they are, or what they are doing there. They park. We don't know if they're selling drugs or what. We have had damage done to that side of our home, vandals threw large rocks and broke the stucco and made large dents that had to be repaired, they even left the rocks they did it with. One of the elementary schools buses drops small children off at this corner. I worry about the children. I did call the police once when a suspicious old beat-up truck was parked on the side of my home for a long time and it had out of state plates. I worried it might be a pervert waiting for the school bus. The only reason I knew it was there was because it was idling loudly, so I went into my back yard, took a peek and called the police. There are over 18 sexual crimes individuals that are no longer in jail living in the community where I live. Thank goodness the sheriffs dept. here has a site where you can look and see how many are in your community. I know they did the time for their crimes, but still it makes one uneasy.

This is a great prize. My Husband works out of town a lot and me and my daughter are alone. Gets scary sometimes!

You can never never never be too careful, no matter where you are these days! Rural PA here.

janeh said...

This would really add to my peace of mind......there has been an increase in break-ins and robberies in the past few months....thought to be due to the economic situation....and it's a little frightening to be alone. Areas of the city thought to be "safe" no longer exist, unfortunately!

YZgirl4 said...

This would really help put my mind at rest. Sometimes, my husband works late and I am at home alone with my two girls. When I lived with my mom, our house was burglarized and I know first hand how frightening it can be.

Unfortunately, I live in a less than stellar neighborhood. When my husband works late, I have to leave all the lights on just so I won't be scared to death. The main reason though, is that I don't have a peephole or window in my front door to see who is there. I'm opening the door on who knows who.

Michele P. said...

I don't live in the best area of town. Unfortunately there have been home invasions and thefts in my area-some related to drugs and some due to the economy and people stealing things because they don't have jobs to buy things they need. I worry alot when we are not home, because I am nervous someone will break in and take stuff. So we rarely go on vacations or long drives anymore. This would be a great item to have, maybe I will be able to relax some more and enjoy some quality family time.

We moved into this house about 6 months ago and I felt totally safe. Then in January, someone stole my purse out of my car. This system would allow me to keep an eye out for what going on around the house.

in the unfortunate times that we live in...theives are getting bolder and more daring, coming out during the day just not in the evenings anymore.

i do try to be alert and aware of my surroundings, but then might get distracted and can't always be as alert and aware as i'd like.

being that my husband and i both work during the day, he gets off work earlier that i do. so when i come home, he's not there. i always come home to an empty home.

there are days that i have off when he goes to work, that i'm home by myself.

if i were to win one of these, that would be a load off my shoulders, less stress and less worrying for me. i'd definately feel alot safer with one of these.

Living in the country, you would think you're safe from crime. Unfortunately that is not the case in my region. Part is due to the local economy where there are few jobs but many low income people. Property crimes are higher in the nearest town of 2000 people than most middle size cities. The ability to keep an eye out would help lower concerns.

Well, the area where we live is a nice area but the police told our neighbor that people drop teens off at 3 or 4 PM and then they take garage doors openers or GPS and somehow save the info so that later older people come back and can use the info to get in your house through the garage.
I think there is a huge increase in crime. My husband visits a major company where he used to work and that morning they had almost all their laptops stolen.

It'd give me peace of mind because it can be remote viewed on PC and phone or PDA. Thanks for the great giveaway!

I live in the country alone most of the time. My husband is a long haul trucker on the road 4-6 weeks at a time. I have dogs but a little security would be wonderful.

We've had our cars broken into a few times now. I would LOVE to catch the person doing it. I'm pretty sure it is someone who lived close by. Sigh.

This is give me piece of mind AND stop the break-ins!

Thank you!!

I don't have a peep hole in my door and am afraid to open it.

This system would give me peace of mind for our whole family. I have always wanted to know who is at the door when the doorbell rings or outside our house when the dogs start barking without having to open the door to see.
I would also feel so much better when we are on vacation knowing what is going on around our house.

I live in a rural area that is beautiful, but for that beauty, one pays the price in various ways, one of which being within timely access to police.

My husband is occasionally away and I am alone here on 5 acres with very little street light penetrating the property. I end up turning on every light in my home, barring the doors with chairs, and sleeping with a ball bat, a hammer, and pepper spray under my pillow.

I freely admit I do not deserve to win any more than most, and probably less so than most, but as I would love to sleep without that hammer and ball bat, I'm giving it a try. Best of luck to everyone who has entered.

Unfortunately a number of cars have been broken into in our subdivision. We believe it is teenagers, but you never know if it really is and how far they would go. This would give me great peace of mind.

This would give me peace of mind because I would install it at my Dad's house. He has gotten broken into several times and has has people steal things from outside the house in broad daylight.

Thanks for the contest.

My husband has cancer for the 2nd time plus is a type 1 diabectic, I work 1st shift as a peace officer, this would ease my mind and have been praying for something because I wait until he calls to know he is alright, alive and awake, he is at the point with his diabetes if he crashes he does not know it and if I am not home I fear one day he will not wake up or fall into in a coma.

What an amazing giveaway! This would bring me peace of mind against intruders. Also, our home has been vandalized lately and it would be nice to deter people from doing this again, or to catch the punks!

Unknown said...

This would give me peace of mind because my daughters room is really separated from me. Also because my puppy was stolen right from my backyard while she was on a leash.

We have had a spate of home invasion robberies around here in the last year or so. A security camera would be a big deterrant to someone looking for an easy target.

I've been robbed before, I hope this would prevent that.
