
My grandmother would serve these sandwiches at birthday parties or as a light meal. This recipe comes from an old dutch cookbook which every woman in our family owns and uses. I refer to it as the dutch cooking bible It's full of rich, scrumptious recipes!
Tuna Puffs - 6 servings
1 6oz. can tuna, drained
1 tbsp. green pepper, chopped
1 tsp. onion, chopped
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. mustard
3/4 C. mayo
6 tomato slices (optional)
3 English muffins, split
1/2 C. shredded American cheese
Mix tuna, green pepper, onion, Worcestershire sauce, mustard and 1/2 C. mayo together. Spread tuna mixture on English muffins, top each with tomato and cheese. Broil until slightly browned.
